if you are there to meet a Leopard in it’s den,
To remould yourself …
To run away from your destiny …
...far into the rain forests …..

The Programme
Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the richest tracts in Western Ghats rain forests. At a distance of 40 Km from Periyar sanctuary (Thekkady), there lies an Eco-System named GAVI with luxuriant forest, grassland and wild animals. Pampa Reservoir and a large tract of reserved forests fringe GAVI. There is a wide range of animals in Periyar Sanctuary such as Elephant, Sambar deer, Barking deer, Mouse deer, Bonnet macaque, Lion tailed macaque etc. The chief predators are Tiger, Panther and Wild dogs. The Reserve also supports a wide variety of birds and insects.

1. Full day program which starts at 5.30 Am and ends at 6.30. pm , 40 km by jeep (15 KM through village,25 Km inside the forest) trekking, sighting animals and birds, pedal boating and return . Breakfast Lunch Coffee tea Provided in this program.

2. Overnight camping: one night 2 days 2 night 3 days

In this program there are two options 1. Camping in guest house 2. Camping in tents

In the case of the former only six person are allowed and in the latter maximum 14 people. The guest house located on the bank of a lake which is calm and serene . The program concentrates on trekking in side forest to sight animals and birds . Elephants, Bison, Nilgiri langur, Nilgiri tahr, Leopard, birds and butterflies can be sighted nearby. Only vegetarian food is served .
